We are pleased to announce that Emily Freeland, ICLE consultant, will be hosting a 3-day workshop series on Relationships, Rigor & Relevance specific to administrators in a new position. This three part workshop series will support new Tracy Unified Administrators in understanding the Daggett System for Effective Instruction, DSEI, and the Rigor, Relevance, and Engagement rubrics.

New administrators and returning administrators new to their role are expected to attend. Experienced administrators may choose to attend. It is critical that you attend these 3 training
days as the purpose of this training is to support your learning in order to
assist you in leading this district initiative at your school site. Tracy
Unified School District is committed to the Rigor Relevance Framework in order
to facilitate a coherent focus across the District to develop and support
instructional effectiveness to improvement student achievement. We are in year
2 of a 3 year plan of implementation.

This workshop will focus on the resources related to hand scored items from the interim assessments which include writing items in ELA and performance tasks in Mathematics. Participants will explore the training guides and exemplars for these items. The materials are designed to train teachers to be able to do hand scoring but can also be used to build teacher and student understanding of how these items are scored and what student responses at each score point actually look like.
